We’re Kristen and Brian Champagne – both natives of Houston, TX, who try to maximize our travel while working 9-5 corporate jobs and being limited in our time off from work. We’re always looking for new places to visit (both domestic and international) and for ways to travel without breaking the bank or running our PTO dry.
We’re both passionate about getting out and seeing as much of the world as possible. Over the past few years, we’ve figured out tips and tricks to help us achieve that goal little by little while still living normal lives in between all of our trips. We often get asked by our friends and family (and coworkers) how we are seemingly always on a trip, and figured we’d take a stab at being a resource for those who may want to use their PTO to travel but don’t know where to begin.
Social media seems to be full of accounts who try to teach you how you can either travel for extremely cheap or go on luxurious trips across the world – but we found there weren’t as many voices that were relatable for the every-day working adult. We know what it’s like to try to fit in vacations with a limited amount of PTO, and it’s our goal to share that with you without ever seeming out of touch with reality.
Who is Kristen?
Kristen is 26, and is an analyst in the health and benefits consulting world. This is a new job as of August 2022, so she’s still getting used to the corporate world after being a teacher for the first two years out of school.
Her passion for teaching and helping others is a big part of why Champagne On the Go was created in the first place – we’ve learned tricks of the trade over the last few years, and she’s excited to share that knowledge with you!
Kristen is the go-with-the-flow one of the two of us, down for whatever Brian ends up planning for us. And while she appreciates the finer things in life, she also appreciates a good deal. When we’re not working or traveling, Kristen loves reading, staying up to date with pop-culture, and is a part time nutrition coach.

Who is Brian?

Brian is a 28 year old civil engineer, who tends to drive much of the planning for the trips we go on. It’s not out of the ordinary for Brian to see a flight sale and make every argument in the world to get it booked as soon as possible. He is the go-go-go one of the two of us, and usually tries to pack as much into a trip as physically possible.
Brian didn’t take his first flight until his sophomore year of college, and has more than made up for lost ground since then. He has a goal of visiting all 63 U.S. National Parks (currently at 27/63), seeing an MLB game in every stadium (17/30 so far), and traveling to as many other places as possible. When not traveling, Brian loves watching sports, visiting breweries, and getting together with friends doing anything and everything.
